Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to operate the service:

• Account information. Your email address (used for sign-in via a one-time link), and any profile details you choose to add — name, company, role, and state.
• Usage data. The searches and filters you run, the companies and filings you view, saved searches, saved prospects, and when you request an AI-generated briefing. We use this to provide and improve the product.
• Billing information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we retain only your subscription status and a Stripe customer identifier.
• Technical data. Standard request logs (such as timestamps and error information) needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

The Form 5500 filing data shown in 5500Vision comes from the U.S. Department of Labor’s public EFAST2 datasets. That information is already public and is provided “as is.” It is not personal information about you, and this policy does not restrict its use.

• To authenticate you and provide access to the application.
• To deliver core features — search, saved searches, saved prospects, and briefings.
• To process and manage your subscription.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
• To communicate with you about your account or the service.

When you request a briefing for a company, we send the relevant public Form 5500 filing data for that company to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the summary. We do not send your personal account information for this purpose. Generated briefings may be cached so they can be shown again without re-generating.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run 5500Vision, and only as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Anthropic — AI briefing generation (public filing data only).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the service.

We keep your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to it.

You can view and update your profile information from your account settings. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the service.
